Parking Options/Hazards

Most people are able to find parking on the street.
UCSF parking lot is closed for construction.

If you have a lot of luggage, stop by the front of hotel and unload your luggage first.

Arrive between 4:00-6:00 PM to find the most abundant street parking.

Best streets for parking is Euclid, Masonic.

Every Street has rotating street cleaning schedule - Read signs carefully. The restrictions are explicit. Parking tickets start at $90.

Make sure you curb your wheels and park close to the curb. Metermaids are zealous about giving out tickets. Do not leave valuables or what can be perceived as valuables in plain sight in the car. Above all, do not block somebody's driveway. Towing charges start at $800. Be prepared to pay a few hundred dollars for parking if you're new to SF.

Many Streets have Two hour limit M-F 8AM-6PM. See signs.

Handicap placard exempts you from two hour limit and meters, but not from street cleaning.
